Chill the bone, and make stand the neck’s hair

There’s a pile of books beside my bed
Huxley, Vonnegut, Byron, and Shakespeare
Orwell, Kafka, Heine, and Harper Lee
My friends surround me everywhere

The greatest companions I’ve ever known —
Through thick and thin forever there —
